STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My paintings often explore relationships between forms, the passage of time, and interactions to create resonant states of affairs. A fellow artist once said, “Your paintings make me feel like I’m looking at detail shots of a much larger cosmic master plan. I’m down in the guts of one small quadrant of a great coded, living mandala.” Each painting is a possibility among infinite possibilities and infinite potential. The complete body of my work is a catalog (Katalogos) of places that I have found and defined via abstract painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a painter, writer, and filmmaker, and work in Ryegate Corner, Vermont. I have exhibited my work since 1990 in venues such as the Thomas Erben Gallery and Mayson Gallery in New York City, the 1708 Gallery in Richmond, Virginia, the Alice K. Rogers Gallery of St. John\u2019s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and BCB Art in Hudson, New York. I studied film and art history at UMBC in Baltimore, earned an MA in Liberal Education from the Graduate Institute of St. John’s College in Santa Fe, and an MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Rome and Philadelphia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
