Crossing to Safety

Crossing to Safety
July 15-September 4, 2017

What does it mean to be a community? “Crossing to Safety” attempts to answer this question. The works on display celebrate Greensboro’s storied past and present as well as investigate the long, complex history of human migration. Viewers gaze behind the town’s academic summer community and the families that have called Greensboro home for multiple generations. The exhibition is a clarion call for the enduring legacy of the creative voice and the pursuit of personal freedom both here in our community and beyond.
