Roark collages post-industrial office supplies, making then breaking a grid. The result a delicate balance that liberates the objects from their given status and produces a new history which engages the viewer to dissect parts of each piece. Her use of material choices ambiguously nods to experience and memory of twentieth century America. A vintage Corona typewriter proudly sits in her studio.
