Never Felt Better: Fiber Transformed
at Creative Space Gallery in Vergennes
February 23-April 8, 2018

Explore the creative potential of the world’s earliest textile technique in “Never Felt Better,” a special exhibition featuring work by Creative Space member artists Deb Allen, Marsha Chase, and Celia Oliver, and guest artists Kathy Giroux, Kim Goodling, Nancy Hayden, Muffy Kashkin-Grolier, Lynn Ocone, Susi Ryan, and Linda Veilleux. Even before spinning and weaving, Bronze Age people discovered that fibers such as wool and other animal hair could be compacted and pressed into fabric. Contemporary fiber artists continue to expand the possibilities of this versatile medium, using a variety of natural and synthetic fibers and embellishments to create decorative pieces and supple, beautiful fabrics for clothing.
