She writes, “The quarry company buildings were eventually purchased by the Carving Studio and renovated to add electricity and water. These original quarry buildings now serve as workshop, gallery, and office space. Large-scale sculptures are on display throughout the grounds and in the indoor gallery and workshop spaces, as well carved right into the old quarry walls. There is a sense of renewal on this once silent quarry site. This is a remarkable place, where artists and interns can develop and display their work and where the public sign up for workshops in stained glass, silversmithing, pulp paper sculpture, bronze casting, and stone sculpture.”<\/p>\n
This article appeared in Vermont Art Guide<\/em> #2.
