The “tetris piece”-shaped brick building behind New England Floor Coverings has discovered a new life as home to creative working studios and a main gallery area for its artists. Once home to the lumber industry and even a Nabisco bakery, 266 South Champlain Street now hosts monthly exhibits that are open to the public on First First Art Walks.

The S.P.A.C.E. Gallery is “launching” a Satellite Arts space on Pine Street this May. Space themed artwork is on display in a 50/50 fundraiser to help with the cost of building new artist studios for the creative community in Burlington’s South End. A selection of these works are traveling to Studio 266 for a silent auction, where pieces will start at 50% of their full value.
