Terry Ekasala’s show of 25 abstract paintings and one mixed media piece were completed between 2011 and 2016. They are\u00a0an expressive reflection of personal and artistic experience.<\/p>\n

\"Widows-Peak-by-Terry-Ekasala\"<\/p>\n

Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, \u2028Terry Ekasala received her undergraduate degree at the\u00a0Art Institute of\u00a0Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In the 1980s, she was part of the Miami art scene both as a member of the Artifacts Art Group and as a street artist. From 1987 to 2001, Ekasala lived in Paris, where her style moved from figurative to abstract and she exhibited in group shows in Paris, Berlin, and New York.<\/p>\n

Since 2001, Ekasala has been living in the Northeast Kingdom. She continues to exhibit, including solo shows in 2003 and 2005 at Metalstone Gallery in New York.\u00a0Terry Ekasala now resides in East Burke with her family, continuing to work on large and small abstracts in what she calls a dream studio in nearby West Burke.<\/p>\n
