Waterbury Arts Fest Is July 13-14, 2018<\/h2>\n

Nearly a hundred art exhibitors, entertainers, and food vendors pack into Stowe Street and Bidwell Lane for an annual festival that has become one of Central Vermont\u2019s premier art events. Waterbury Arts Fest is is a project of Revitalizing Waterbury, a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, promote and enhance the economic, historic and social vitality of Waterbury. The event begins with a block party on Friday evening that includes a main stage for entertainment, a beer garden, and food trucks. Approximately 3,000 people attend the Friday Night Block Party. On Saturday, arts and craft vendors line the closed streets. Artists are juried and the work includes fine art painting, pottery, fiber art, weaving, glasswork, baskets, jewelry, woodwork and sculpture. Among the art on view is the fish-eye paintings of North Bennington artist Brian Hewitt. Many artists conduct demonstrations throughout the day while a variety of performers provide entertainment on the main stage. There are magicians.
