Angelika Pavlovna Karapetian
Angelika Pavlovna Karapetian STATEMENT In my ink sketches, I aim to explore the profound relationship between human and canine. With influences as diverse as Hergé and Alberto Giacometti, my final pieces are often varied in their detail, texture, and aesthetic. From a young age, I have been enamored with dogs of all varieties. My passion for canine fine art developed shortly after I became the owner of a Bassedor (Basset Hound & Labrador) at age 10. After “Summer” passed away in 2024 at age 17, I was inspired to honor the canine form through pen and ink. BIO Angelika Pavlovna was born in the steppe of Western Siberia (Russia). Pavlovna is based in Putney, Vermont, and New York City. She received her B.A. in Global Studies, Art History, and Russian Language from The University of Vermont and has explored many mediums including film, photography, mixed media, and drawing. Her current work incorporates pen/ink sketches, textiles, and watercolor painting. ARTIST CONTACT [click to email] IMAGES |
