Johanne Durocher Yordan
Burlington, Vermont

I am a mixed media artist who is constantly exploring new techniques and materials. I paint florals and landscapes but love abstract work as there are no rules or boundaries. I use acrylic paint but also use a variety of papers and other found objects in my work depending on the subject matter.

Since 2001, Johanne Durocher Yordan has presented her work extensively in Vermont. She has exhibited in Burlington’s South End Art Hop consistently since 2001, including the Juried Show in 2013 . She was also juried into Burlington’s Art’s Alive Festival of Fine Arts in 2007 and 2013. Solo exhibitions include Brickwork Art Studios (Burlington, 2014-2016); National Country Club (South Burlington, 2006); and the SEABA Gallery (Burlington, 2012 and 2014). Group exhibitions include shows at the West Branch Gallery & Sculpture Park (Stowe, 2015-2017); Burlington City Arts’ Vermont Metro Gallery (2015-2016); Axel’s Gallery & Frame Shop (Waterbury, 2014-2015); UVM Medical Center (Burlington, 2014-2019); Burlington International Airport (2014-2015); Vermont Institute of Contemporary Arts (Chester, 2013 and 2015); Fletcher Allen Health Care (Burlington, 2013 and 2015); Chaffee Art Center (Rutland, 2013); and the BCA Center (Burlington, 2012-2013).
