STATEMENT

I am a lifelong student of the natural world, and it provides me with infinite artistic inspiration. I interpret nature mostly in an impressionistic/abstracted way, but I also enjoy the challenge and discipline of realistic figure drawing and portraiture. Watercolor, charcoal and graphite, soft pastels and, most recently, sumi ink are my favorite mediums.

BIO

I am a former long-term resident of Canada, Hawaii, Indonesia and Nepal, and it wasn’t until moving to Vermont in 1999 that I began a focused pursuit of a life-long interest in artistic expression. Since then, I have exhibited and sold my work throughout the region and beyond, including commissions for commercial promotional materials. I am also the author and illustrator of the children’s book, Will You Be My Friend?
