Brendan Bush

Another Morning in the Stomach of a Blue Whale
(48″x36″; acrylic on canvas; 2017)

Brendan Bush
Burlington, Vermont

Brendan’s abstract acrylic paintings explore color and movement and are created as a form of deeply emotional expressionism. With no formal art education or training, experimentation with process and application drive his style.

Brendan’s works explore the fundamental dualities of freedom and imprisonment, of lightness and darkness, of clarity and confusion, of anger and exaltation.

Born between generations, Brendan Bush is a technologically inclined luddite on a constant exploration of self. A product manager for a digital marketing firm by day, he paints as a way to unplug and connect to the physical world.

Brendan lives in Burlington.
