Grand Opening: Lemon Fair Sculpture Park
Friday, September 30, 5PM
The Lemon Fair Sculpture Park in Shoreham celebrates its Grand Opening on Friday, September 30, when a new sculpture by Peter Lundberg will be born of the earth via cranes. Lundberg is a world renowned sculptor whose process involves casting sculptures directly into the earth and later having them excavated by cranes. Also unveiled at the Grand Opening will be a new work by Phil Thorne.
Lemon Fair Sculpture Park is located at a private residence, 6 miles south of Middlebury College. It is a pastoral setting with over 25 sculptures along a mile-long mowed path. The large sculptures are composed of steel, titanium, stone. They are kinetic and brightly painted coming from all over the United States.
There is a large horseshoe parking area. Look for the red shed, where you will find a map and information booklet. Bring water, good walking shoes, insect repellent and sunscreen. There is an outhouse on site.
Visitors assume all risks while at the park. Dogs MUST be on a leash. There will be NO climbing or touching the sculptures.
