
Burlington’s annual South End Art Hop celebrates its 25th year, September 8-10th, 2017. Art Hop is the largest event of its kind in Vermont, attracting over 30,000 visitors over the weekend after Labor Day. Over 600 artists will be exhibiting at over 100 locations from the Waterfront in the north to Industrial Parkway in the south. The event also includes the “Strut” fashion show, a Kids’ Hop, live music, an Artist Market, outdoor sculpture displays and a whole lot more. Various sites will host live music. Some places to check out: Along Pine Street, “World’s Best Art!” both inside and outside at Dostie Bros. Frame Shop (corner of Pine and Kilburn Streets). S.P.A.C.E. Gallery in the Soda Plant has “Represent!”, their annual Art Hop show, this year featuring the work of 49 regional artists. The SEABA Gallery at 404 Pine Street has the annual Original Juried Show with 33 works juried by New York gallerist Asya Geisberg. At Main Street Landing’s Union Station is the “Founders Show” with work by some of the Art Hop’s original artists and organizers. At 208 Flynn Avenue are Art Hop at FLYNNDOG, featuring work by Burlington-area artists Ted Wimpey, Lyna Lou Nordstrom, Barbara Hauzinger, Wendy Copp, Ann Barlow, & Winnie Looby and, at VCAM/RETN Art Space, the annual collaborative Art Hop Group Show presenting 35 artists.
