Art Critiques at 4th Corner Foundation

ART EVENT

Art Critiques
at 4th Corner Foundation in Windham
September 24, 2017

Getting feedback on one’s art isn’t always easy. Painter Jim Jackson had been hosting art critiques at a cafe in West Townshend for some time, but was interested in passing the torch. 4th Corner Foundation gallery owner Matthew Brader explains, “There was a small group of people that were attending regularly but we felt that by moving the critiques to a larger location with a gallery, we would be able to expand the availability of critiques to more towns in southern Vermont.” 4th Corner Foundation is a two-story contemporary art gallery in Windham that focuses on “thought provoking, well made works of art” and art that “shows considerable investigation by the artists on the the human condition.”

Their first salon and group show takes place on September 24, 2017. Artists looking to engage in a constructive critique are welcome. The format: Artists submit 1-2 pieces and give a short explanation of the work followed by a five minute critique. The art will be available to view until October 21st. The best part is a BBQ reception that follows. Artists can sign up for the salon or get more information by emailing Matthew Brader.
