Time Travel Demo with Mark Eliot Schwabe at Frog Hollow

Saturday, August 4, Noon-2PM

Steam Punk  is a genre, or a lifestyle, or … well actually, it is JUST FUN!

There is top hat style, steam powered airships, ray guns of all sorts and, of course, there is time travel.   In the SteamPunk world time travel is thought to be possible, even common; however, not without peril.  So there is the question, to travel or not to travel?

To the rescue comes Burlington’s own Mark Eliot Schwabe, SteamSmith.  Among the many fanciful and stylish objects that Schwabe has created is his Time Traveler Aid tac pin.  An inexpensive piece of jewelry that, when worn, is “guaranteed” to smooth the bumps of time travel. Schwabe will give a brief presentation about his Time Traveler Aid tac pin … and also perform propeller demonstrations; with repeat performances every half hour from Noon until 2PM.  Be prepared to have a little fun!

About Mark Eliot Schwabe: Mark Eliot Schwabe, SteamSmith, lives and works in a world that challenges description and defies understanding by peoples of the 21st century. It is a world in which creative people work with their hands and their heads; it is a world in which machines and industries are built with parts that move, and parts that don’t. Land and sea are traveled in wondrous machines, often made by hand; the sky is filled with airships of amazing construction. Time is understood in a way that 21st century people cannot fathom. The taverns are filled with ladies of style, wisdom and sass, and with strong-handed men with nimble brains. You should visit his world!
